After going to a wedding ceremony this weekend, we had a couple of hours to kill before the reception. As we were in the Leduc/Beaumont area, Crepe and Shake seemed like the perfect option for a sunny Saturday afternoon. I think I said “this is the cutest place ever!” about a dozen times. But seriously, if you are ever in the area, this place is a must-visit.
Forget city patios, this place was a next-level outdoor experience for a group of urbanites like us. Located on a quiet residential street, Crepe and Shake is a house-turned-café (or to be more accurate, convent-turned-house-turned-café). Crepe and Shake boasts a wide variety of whimsical outdoor seating in their expansive yard. You can sit in the shady gazebo, on beach chairs, by the pond, at a picnic table, or one of the other seating options. It’s a great place to spend the afternoon enjoying the sun and chatting with good company while sipping a tasty milkshake and munching on a sweet or savoury crepe. And if you’re lucky, owner Kerri will surprise you with some homemade chocolate samples or simply some good conversation.
